Georgios Biography.
Mr Orfaniotis is a fully-certified and internationally trained Plastic Surgeon with over 18 years of experience.
Georgios has extensively trained in Head and Neck reconstruction and over the years he has used these skills to develop an expertise in Facial Aesthetic Surgery. He is one of the few surgeons in the UK able to offer the most advanced facial rejuvenation techniques including; Extended Deep Plane Facelift, Deep Neck Lift, and Lip Lift. Georgios has obtained the Plastic Surgery Fellowship exam of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Plast) and the European plastic surgery board exam (EBOPRAS). He was entered onto the GMC specialist register for Plastic surgery in 2015. He is a full member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), the British Association of Plastic Surgeons (BAPRAS), and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS) Orfaniotis has worked as an NHS Consultant for 5 years in two of the largest hospitals in London, The Royal London hospital and Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals, performing complex reconstructive surgery in the Head and Neck area.
Georgios is one of the very few surgeons in the UK who has undertaken 3 years of advanced international fellowship training before taking his Consultant role in 2017. This included senior fellow positions in world-renowned Plastic surgery units in Taichung - Taiwan, Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital - London, and the Royal Melbourne Hospital - Australia. He consolidated his specialist aesthetic training with a prestigious aesthetic fellowship at the Wellington Hospital - London.
He graduated from medical school in Thessaloniki, Greece in 2002 and after completing his core surgical training he served as a doctor in the Greek army for 1 year. He moved to the UK in 2006 where he completed 10 years of higher plastic surgery training. Georgios worked as a registrar in several pioneering UK hospitals including Canniesburn Plastic surgery Unit - Glasgow, Queen Victoria hospital - East Grinstead, St Thomas’ hospital - London, and Addenbrookes hospital - Cambridge.
Mr Orfaniotis has been recognised internationally as invited faculty and has won travelling fellowship awards from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Georgios has also travelled to Ethiopia as a volunteer expert surgeon to perform life-changing reconstructive surgery to people who suffered disfiguring facial deformities. He has a keen interest in teaching and innovation and enjoys clinical research, with over 30 published articles in peer-reviewed plastic surgery journals.
