Please find below a detailed response to your concerns, along with further information for clarity and transparency on this platform regarding the timeline and events. 1. Pricing Discrepancies: The original quote for your procedure was issued in October 2021. However, you did not book your procedure until March 2023. As with most industries, costs are subject to annual increases due to economic factors and rising overheads. On our website and in your original quote, it was outlined that pricing is applied to the year in which quotes are issued. That said, when you raised this as an issue for you, we honoured the original 2021 quote despite the standard price increase, offering this as a gesture of goodwill. 2. Timing of the Procedure: We always provide each patient with the appropriate amount of time and attention. We understand that delays can be frustrating, however our priority is safety at all times, and this sometimes means that delays can occur in the process of a surgical list. We regret if you felt rushed. You allude that you think not enough time was taken for your procedure. Having checked the surgical records, your procedure time in theatre matched the average time for patients having this procedure, and the slightly later start did not compromise the quality or completeness of your care. 3. Surgical Outcome: We appreciate your feedback regarding your results. Healing is a highly individual process, and many factors can influence the final appearance. Our records indicate that you were initially happy with the outcome. At six-months, you expressed concern about your outcome. In response, an in-person consultation with Mr. Orfaniotis was provided to take the time to examine the area and address your concerns. After further virtual consultations with Mr Orfaniotis, it was agreed to proceed with a minor revision as per your wish. This procedure was offered to you with no additional surgical or administration cost. A date was scheduled for April 2024 but later cancelled by yourself. At your request, a new date in December 2024 was provided for you.4. Decision Not to Proceed with Revision: On the day of your scheduled surgery, Mr Orfaniotis and his team were ready to proceed with the revision. During your pre-operative review on the day you mentioned to Mr Orfaniotis and his nurse Alexa, that you felt the scar had improved since your last appointment and that your primary reason for considering the revision was based on the opinions of others, rather than your own personal assessment. Taking into account this disclosure, your apprehensions, and the clinical picture of an objectively good result and improved scar, we mutually agreed that a revision was not in your best interest. We understand that deciding to undergo a second procedure is a significant decision. We are sorry to hear that you have now changed your mind again and feel differently about your results and about your decision not to undergo revisional surgery. 5. Post-Surgical Feedback and Second Opinions: We fully respect that you have sought further opinions. Every surgeon has their approach, and while we always strive for the best possible outcomes, we understand that opinions on surgical techniques and results can differ.We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations and you now feel that you are not happy with your result. As no photos have been provided, we are unclear what has changed since our last documented photos when it was agreed that the surgery has made a significant impovement and that undergoing further surgery was not at your best interest, all things considered.
